We are looking for an experienced web developer with expertise in WordPress and web scraping to clone a large website, rewrite its articles using the ChatGPT API, and implement custom features such as filterable lists and tables. The new site must achieve a 90+ mobile PageSpeed score on Google and pass all Core Web Vitals tests.
Responsibilities:
Scrape the original website:
Use web scraping tools to extract all content, including text, metadata, and functionality (e.g., filterable lists and tables) from the original site.
Rewrite the articles using the ChatGPT API:
Submit the scraped text to the ChatGPT API and save the rewritten content for use on the new WordPress site.
Set up a new WordPress website:
Create a new WordPress website with a responsive and modern design that closely resembles the original site.
Implement custom features:
Recreate and integrate custom features from the original site, such as filterable lists and tables, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Optimize the new site for performance:
Ensure the new site achieves a 90+ mobile PageSpeed score on Google and passes all Core Web Vitals tests by optimizing images, using caching, minifying CSS/JS, and implementing other best practices for site performance.
Update affiliate links:
Replace all affiliate links from the original site with new tracking links, ensuring proper attribution and tracking.
Test and launch the new website:
Thoroughly test the new site for functionality, performance, and user experience before launching.
Requirements:
Proven experience in WordPress development and customization.
Strong knowledge of web scraping tools and techniques.
Familiarity with the ChatGPT API for content rewriting.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Experience in optimizing websites for performance, including achieving high scores on Google PageSpeed Insights and passing Core Web Vitals tests.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
